I work in fashion sales, and my husband is in finance (not big banking or anything, corporate finance). as I said in my last post, we dont buy expensive things. we’ve never bought an expensive item of furniture, or spent a lot on a big tv. we are currently trying to put away an extra $2200/month to save for a few months of travel next year. to do this, we are eating a LOT of pasta, ramen noodles, etc. we make it a priority to spend our money on travel as opposed to other stuff that won’t matter long term.
